Be Right Back

March 31st, 2009

I am trading in my computer today for a shovel. Ryan has enlisted me in his great Yard Beautification Project while he is off this week for spring break. My back is aching already and I have been the victim of several felled tree limbs, but I’m not complaining (much) because the sun is shining, the stereo is playing, and it feels good to have my hands in the soil.

And don’t tell PETA, but many, many worms were harmed in the weeding and edging of my flower beds.

Welcome, spring!

I am so envious! No sun here. Just lots of cold and snow. What gives? Enjoy the sun and dirt!

I love spring gardening activities and yard beautification. If it weren’t freezing and snowing this entire week, I’d be out there right now. How’s your yard, btw? Do you like it?

I absolutely love yard work. Last friday when the weather was actually in the 70’s (now it is snowing…don’t ya miss the Utah weather?) I got out and cleaned up all the winter gunk in my yard! I even enjoy weeding!!! Sick huh? I guess I enjoy being alone with my thoughts (since no one at my house will help me weed) and I love being outside. However, I did learn a valuable lesson last week that I need to remember to wear sunscreen because I burned my chest and neck spending that much time in the sun in a tank top. You’ll have to post a pic of your finished yard! I’d love to see it!

since I have never actually had a yard I can’t really comment on this. But I guess I have anyway.

Wow, when I looked out the window a little bit ago, it was snowing again. Can’t wait to get out there too — when it warms up that is.

Sure gonna miss my walks passed your house this summer. I’m pretty sure it will never look the same.

….About those worms…I was led to understand that when you accidentally cut one in half (or thirds, well, no, I guess that wouldn’t work) they just become two worms instead of one. I’m beginning to think I should have examined this theory a little closer. Maybe the part with the brain grows another end, so that at least you still end up with one worm. (No pun intended). Anyway, I was going to say I’m jealous, but what I really mean is I wish I could convince Ryan to landscape my yard – and not just on paper.

Can you please not talk about sun and warm weather and yard work because as of right now, April 1st, it is SNOWING. AGAIN. Maybe it can just keep on snowing in Utah until what?…July? August?

    No spring here yet.

    And it sucks!
