1. Is 31 too old to wear one’s hair in occasional, tastefully placed pig tails?
2. How do you know if the interim hairdos between short and long hair are not so much an awkward transition between the two, but a foreshadow of hairdos to come?
3. Will you still be my friend if you answered no to question 1 when you find out that “occasional” was “four times this week?”
That will be all for now, class.
1. Is 31 too old to wear one’s hair in occasional, tastefully placed pig tails?
No. I am 34 and I do it – therefore it is totally okay for you. Plus you are super cute so you can pull it off.
2. How do you know if the interim hairdos between short and long hair are not so much an awkward transition between the two, but a foreshadow of hairdos to come?
This I have no answer for as I have often wondered as well.
3. Will you still be my friend if you answered no to question 1 when you find out that “occasional” was “four times this week?”
Of course not. It kind of makes me love you more.
That was supposed to say “of course” not of course not.
I am a dork.
1. No, besides, I’m sure you can pull off passing for mid-twenties easily enough, if you’re worried about the age factor. But you shouldn’t be.
2. Unfortunately, only time will tell with this one. But, I believe that eventually, you pass the awkward growing out stage, and find a longer lenghth that will suit you, and that you can more easily work with.
3. Yuppers!
January is Pig Tail Month. And you are hereby appointed to be the poster child – er – young person. Therefore, Yes, No response, and yes.
I have never been good at pop quizzes but since I have worn “tastefully placed pig tails” recently, I say you are good. Especially since I am 34. (why did that hurt so bad to type my age?)
Let’s just talk about how much you crack me up. I just laugh out loud everytime I read your blog. I was also very honored to be shown and shared by you… you made me blush…. so happy…so proud! You really are dang funny and I just love this blog. Oh.. I am glad your man sleeps with some kind of freaky noise machine too…my “Mr. Windy” is a remodeled humidifier from days gone by. I think one day I will buy one of those really cool sound machines from sharper image…maybe!
Pigtails are fine. Don’t let anyone tell you other differently. Growing out hair is one of the most painful experiences – especially if bangs are included. I think that the awkward stage is just that, awkward. Not a sign that the long hair might not be a good idea.
As in school, I freeze up at test time.
Pig tails are sexy, though.
I’ll have you know that I wear my hair in pigtails on a regular basis. Yes, I am also growing my hair out, but even if not, I would still love pig tails. They’re so “i’m not old yet”, which is always good for a 34 year old.
You are cute with your hair uncombed and a hat on. No you are just cute no matter what. Dad C
Are pigtails appropriate for the plane on SATURDAY??? I’ve just got to pinch myself! I am soooooooooo excited!!!
Pop quiz? Dang, I’m not really prepared, but business school has really helped me out with things like this.
1. It’s all about measuring the marginal benefit (i.e., speed of morning preparation) minus any potential embarrassment (i.e., having to show ID when renting a PG13 movie). If MB > PE then proceed with pigtail project. Otherwise, reject the project and find another alternative.
2. Managing change is primarily the responsibility of management. Without good, proactive communication, the “team” might begin to question the wisdom of the leadership. Keep everyone buying into the “vision” of the possibilities.
3. Well, you really need to determine if this is a statistical abnormality. Is it more than three standard deviations from the mean? (In other words, is a normal week a three-pigtail-week or a zero-pigtail-week?) Further data is needed to completely answer the question.
Whew! I hope I get an “A” that was a tough one.
