This morning Max and I visited his new kindergarten for an open house. We met his teacher, an adorable young lady who looks like and especially sounds like Snow White. She was very sweet and welcoming and I think she’ll be a nice fit for Max, who presented himself as a cross between Bashful and Sneezy.
As we talked about Max, I found myself wanting to talk in a similar high-pitched tone. I’m not sure if it was to make myself feel more comfortable, or because I thought it might enhance my ability to communicate with her without the other parents being able to hear.
Before we left, Max wanted to show his teacher something special—the small light-up Buzz Lightyear gun he had stored in his pocket. She loved it, of course; Buzz is one of her favorites. I winked at her and promised not to tell Prince You-Know-Who.
Although Belle may have been my first pick among the Disney Princesses to educate my child, I think that Snow White will do a fine job. Along with reading, writing, and math skills, I believe that learning how to communicate with bluebirds and forest creatures is among the most important skills one can have. Especially around these parts.
Here’s to a new school year!
Ahhhh a “high talker”. It could be sooo much worse than Snow White
That is just funny!
I hope you guys are doing great!
be sure you post about the first time a bluebird lands on her shoulder!
Hope it’s a great year!
Please, please, warn him to not eat ANY apples for snack time!
with my smoker’s voice i don’t even think i could get my boice to do a snow white.
did snow get bent out of shape that max was packing heat to kindergarten?
my brother got suspended for having a paperclip and rubberband “weapon” in elementary school so Max better be careful with his weapons in school.
Funny! It sounds like things are going pretty well for you guys!
Oh my how I’ve missed your humor!!! Thanks for the chuckles. I love that Max. I think he and Snow White will get along great.
I just noticed that I’m logged in as Tiffany. If you are here, Tiff, come out and show yourself!!!
Mom
I did not know that Max was starting Kindergarten this year. A good match with a teacher is so important.
Speaking to woodland creatures is nice, but don’t let them come into the house to help clean up. They are not as good with the dishes as Disney might make you think.
Good Luck!
You’ve really piqued my curiosity. Video with sound would be really great. A photo would hold me over.
Hahaha! You crack me up. I loved your reasons for wanting to talk in a higher voice. Hilarious.
