They will see us waving from such great heights

If you haven’t already done so, please add “ride in a hot air balloon” to your Life’s To-Do List. I can’t imagine that you would regret it.

These pictures are from our Saturday morning balloon ride, which was the rain-checked portion of Ryan’s graduation gift from me. We floated high above the Heber valley at sunrise. No offense to Ryan’s profession, but it was like therapy to me.

It was equally peaceful and exhilarating, even though there was a really lurpy guy on our flight making lame jokes about landing in Oz. After we threw him overboard, it was perfectly enjoyable.

What a fun way to celebrate! Kyle and I did this in the heber valley to celebrate our 5th. It was so fun, although our landing was a bit scary. We bounced down on the freeway off ramp. Luckily we went back up again and landed safely. I would love to go again!

    See you tonight!

how fun! I have only been up in one that was still tethered to the ground at a ward 4th of July party when I lived in Virginia. . . and yes, it was the coolest ward party I have ever attended because it also had a GIANT slip and slide down a big hill.
But I digress. I see that Michele forgot to mention that not only does her brother-in-law own a hot air balloon but he lives in Albany, NY and I have a standing offer to come up for a ride (which I would feel fine about extending to anyone who would drive me there). . . oh, and I believe Michele owns a hot air balloon as well although I don’t believe she (or Dan) are authorized to operate it. That I’m aware of.
