Inevitable

June 29th, 2008

Inevitably, every time I leave my laptop unattended Max decides to have a personal photo session with the PhotoBooth program. And it isn’t just one picture he takes, it’s usually about fifty or so. Here are some gems from the past year for your viewing pleasure:

This was the day he lost his nose and mouth.
No nose, no mouth

And here’s his impersonation of Franklin the Turtle.
Silly turtle face 2

This photo effect is called “Fishbowl” which is where you should shove your child’s head if he continues to steal and use your computer to take hundreds of photos.
Fishbowl

One day Max made a rocket, and promptly took it to have its picture taken.
Look at my rocket

I like this one, because the whooshing rocket almost covers up all the laundry piled up in the background. I think I’ve mentioned before that I love to do laundry and fold it, but I hate putting it away. I remember this particular winter day I had decided to fold it in my bedroom so that I would be inspired to put it away. Which I did. Three days later.
Swoosh

Occasionally Max uses the camera on my computer to check for cavities.
This one's for the dentists

And to count the taste buds on his tongue.
This one's for the ladies

In this one, he appears to be doing his best thinking. Think, think, think.
Thinking up other good ideas

And the thinking paid off, because he quickly came up with the idea to take the following series. (I should point out that this is pretty impressive because he first had to position the camera to face this wall, then click the camera picture-taking-button-thingie, and then quickly run and strike his pose within three seconds.)
L is for the way I love you

A little something for the ladies…

And I think this is where he was doing Y-M-C-A, although the Y, M, and C were probably performed before the picture took.
Y-M-C-A

The expression on his face here says it all: “Boy, I am really onto something here—special effects!”
Ta-da!

“And now, ladies and gentlemen, I will make my head disappear!”
My people

On another occasion, I found these pictures. The look on Lucy’s face is quite revealing, I think.
Lucy the hostage

“Come on, Lucy, stick your tongue out like this.”
The dog has been held hostage

If you were as “in tune” with Lucy as I am, you would be able to hear her whispering, “In my next life, I hope I come back as a giant elephant. I will enjoy sitting on you and tossing you around with my trunk.”
Lucy has had enough

“For my last trick, I give you Mysterious Floating Arms!”
Magical floating arms

Honestly, I just don’t know where he gets these crazy ideas…

Me as Carnie Wilson (the old years)
Me as Hilary Swank
Me as Zsa Zsa
Me as Mary Kate
