I work in a secure building. I have a tiny little key card that allows me entrance into the building. No key, no entrance. It’s a very safe place.
Today, a guy who was breaking into cars with his buddy was chased by some witnesses. Big, burly witnesses. He ended up locking himself in the corner office just four piddly doors down from where I sit all day.
Apparently, if you are a fugitive, you can gain access to our building from the adjoining warehouse and through the door without a lock.
Here’s a picture of the perps after their arrest:
Another piece of irony? The man who let them into the locked office is no longer supposed to have a key….
One last piece of irony: I wasn’t even there when it happened. No, wait. That’s not irony. That’s just me missing out on all the exciting stuff.
