Their Eyes Were Watching God

May 21st, 2006

This is my sister, April, and I recreating the photographic pose our dad invented when we were children. We have several pictures of us standing in front of a lamp in our old blue living room, looking up into the sky and holding our hands in a Japanese-esque prayerful fashion. It was a really popular pose in the early 80’s. At least at our house.

I love it – it reminds me of a young women’s medallion (not that I have any- okay, maybe one or two). I especially like that your sister has a green shirt with a white t underneath and you have a white shirt with a green cami. Such great coordination!
